Karachi (DP News) In the closing ceremony of Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN)’s five-day Citizen Journalism program earlier this evening, Consul General Grace Shelton encouraged Pakistani alumni to continue to stay involved in these types of activities.
Addressing the audience at the Center for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ) at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Consul General Shelton noted: “Journalism matters and the stories journalists tell can influence social norms and affect policy…I strongly encourage you to use what you have learned this week and share it with your communities.”
The U.S. government-sponsored five-day residency program brought together 40 PUAN alumni, mostly young professionals 32 years old or younger, representing all twelve national chapters of PUAN.
